If you love artists like Damien Rice, The Lumineers, Passenger, Kodaline, and/or Hozier, you may love Gert Taberner. With social media in the picture, sometimes that intimate face to face communication is lost and people forget about what’s really important. His music focuses on interpersonal relationships (of or relating to relationships or communication between people.) He tends to write about how there is sometimes a lack of intimacy in the world today, which is understandable, especially in a world that’s highly concentrated and involved with social media. Like many artists, Gert uses music to express his feelings. It was there that he recognized his skill for being a talented songwriter. He first started realizing his musical abilities after he moved to Vancouver, British Columbia. This album is not only a “must” for the fans of Gert Emmens and Candenced Haven solo but for everybody who loves good, clever and atmospheric electronic music.Gert Taberner is a folk rock artist who currently lives in New York after originally growing up in Germany. “Reflections” closes the album with a thrusting rhythm and wonderful ambiences. Talking about solos: the ones in “Infinite Horizon” are superb, just as the double sequences. If you are interested in joining, message me on reddit as /u/GreystarMusic, or email me at. II, and has been in the works for about 3 months. This album is a cover/remix compilation of Aphex Twins Selected Ambient Works Vol. The titletrack again has Laila’s very fine and subtle sounds but also a Tangerine Dream-like sequence as well as big drumsound. II is the third album rework done by the /r/aphextwin community. Is this maybe a little precursor to his soon to be released progalbum “Memories”? We shall hear. The second part of this track is almost like progressive rock. This can be heard very well in “Awareness Of Depth”. In this he is different from many of his colleagues. Amongst the drone of commercialization slapped with folk and singer-songwriter labels like it’s going out of style. There has been a movement, in roots music, as of late, to get it back to its, well, roots. A fantastic feeling introduces “Road To Mirage”, after which pointy sequences follow above Gert’s antique drumboxes. by Jonathan Frahm 9 February 2017 Comments Off on Album Gert Taberner Fallen. In the second part of the track the rhythms are quite industrial which forms a nice contrast with the warm music. Emmens is a master in creating such rich sequences. “Into The Night” opens the album very atmospheric, after that the sequences fall in. In comparison to that album, on “Mystic Dawn” they go further. Just as was the fact on “Life In Cosmic Way”, “Mystic Dawn” again shows the sequences, the drums, the sounds, the melodies and the solos by Gert as well as the soundscapes and other melodies by Cadenced Haven. It reminds of the classic albums by Pink Floyd and The Alan Parsons Project that had covers by Hipgnosis. The cd is accompanied with an excellent cover by Pablo Magne who has done more fine artwork for Groove. Now there is their second collaboration “Mystic Dawn”. Recently, they created an album together, the wonderful “Life In Cosmic Way”. On this album, she received help from Gert. She recorded the album “Peregrination” for Groove Unlimited. Cadenced Haven (the artistname of Laila Quraishi from Bangladesh) is a rather new name in the scene. Dutchman Gert Emmens already is quite a big name in the world of Berlin School-based electronic music.
